Caulking is important! Don't wait until the exterior of your home needs to be painted, thoroughly inspect the caulk from time to time and re-apply as needed to keep tiny amounts of water from doing major damage!

  • Be careful not to overload your circuits in the winter months with too many space heaters, they draw a lot more electricity than most people realize!

  • Moths hate Cedar. Keep something that is Cedar scented near your wool items and moths will stay away!
  • When hanging pictures, towel bars, curtain rods, etc, have some plastic drywall anchors on hand for when there is no wood studs where you need them.
  • To remove Sharpie or other permanent ink from a wipe off board, simply trace over the permanent ink with a dry erase marker, and wipe off!
  • Make sure to know where your main water shut off is located. Close and open a few times each year to keep it working.
  • Look under your sinks periodically and check for signs of leaks. Most leaks are very slow, and can do a lot of damaged by the time they are noticed.​
