We pride ourselves in doing things right so that they look good and will last for many years. This includes adding bracing behind drywall patches, a light sanding and cleaning between coats of trim paint, and using quality paint. We also protect your floors, windows, etc as part of the prepping the job process.
We don't use the most expensive paint on the market typically, the ones just below the most expensive are just as good in our opinion. If you have a brand preference we are happy to talk about it. The lower quality paints almost always require more coats, which adds to the labor cost, and they don't typically hold up as well. Even if it is a rental property you will be much better off with proper prep work and quality materials.
Primer is also very important when it is called for. Something to keep in mind that the paints that have primer in them just have thicker pigment, not actual primer that helps with bonding. This means that when actual primer is needed it goes on first, such as over bare wood. If this is not done there will be problems later.
Basically, we do things correctly. We shouldn't have to point that out but we've gone to a lot of jobs where the previous painters paited over elecrical outlets, switches, dirt, even bugs!
You've heard the expression "you get what you pay for", it definitely applies here.
Our quotes are easy to understand, we are dependable, and have great communication.
We fix and finish a lot of interior paint jobs after the cheaper people fail. Home improvement is only going to get so cheap if you want it done right with no problems, so be very leery if you get a quote that is substantially lower than the rest. You don't have to be licensed to be a contractor in Austin Tx, someone with not much experience at all can present themselves as a professional house painter, contractor, flooring company etc. It happens all the time and that is where the home improvement horror stories come from.
We feel like we, and other small businesses, are the best option when compared to individuals and big retail companies. The best thing to do is to get a referral from someone that you know and trust that has had the same or similar work done at their home. If you are new to the area we can provide references and we will be transparent about the entire process.
